We are interested in relations, communication, values, meaning, power etc. This does not exclude post-human approaches. There are also many overlapping perspectives shared with the other sections at the department and with sociology.

What characterises OWM’s activities is an understanding of organisations and organisation – physical as well as virtual – as central for the phenomena we study. The topics we are interested in include communication, organisation of work, learning, innovation, management, business models in and across organisational contexts.

OWM is both a section and a research group. The research group includes colleagues from other sections and we are also involved in an array of internal and external collaborations.

Methodologically and ethically, the research group members are connected by a shared commitment in practice as well as the wish both to influence and to be influenced.
