DIGETIK SEMINAR: How to address GDPR in digital research

DIGETIK and DIGHUMLAB are inviting interested researchers for a seminar (in Danish) about GDPR in digital humanities research. How do we interpret the legislation when we collect already existing data from the internet? What do we do if we want to use born-digital material, extract data from social media (automatically or manually) or carry out observation studies on digital platforms with thousands of participants?

Time

21.04.2020 kl. 10.00 - 15.30

Description

At this seminar, you’ll experience GDPR expert Kathrine Tvorup Pajkes from Aalborg University. Kathrine is team leader for Data Protection in Research at AAU Innovation. During the seminar, she will dive into the challenges that Danish humanities researchers experience – especially when using digital data or performing research within the digital domain.

The seminar is organised around talks and workshop activities and offers a free lunch for all participants. The seminar will be held in Danish.
