– an action research project about the importance of being able to wonder in innovation processes
In collaboration with selected staff groups in the Municipality of Vejle, this phenomenologically oriented action research project looks at the importance of the act and attitude of wondering in innovative processes. What is the relationship between creativity and wonderment, and how can we strengthen radical innovation through a change from product- and user-driven innovation to meaning- and wonder-driven innovation in public organizations? By establishing different forms of Socratic conversations and ‘Communities of Wonder’ within staff groups in the Municipality of Vejle, this research project inquires into how such a radical and wonder-based innovation can be realized in a public organization. As such, this project shows a new development within public sector innovation in Denmark.
