Lene Tanggaard is Professor of Psychology in the Department of Communication and Psychology at the University of Aalborg, Denmark, where she serves as director of the Center for Qualitative Studies (24 core members and a network of more than 90 professors and researchers concerned with methodology and development of new research tools) and advisor for 11 Ph.D.-students. She is co-editor of two scientific journals (Qualitative Studies and Nordiske Udkast) and member of the editorial board at two other journals (Nordic Psychology and Coaching Psykologi).
Lene has studied psychology at the universities of Aarhus and Aalborg. Her research is particularly concerned with educational psychology and issues related to learning and creativity. Despite her relatively young academic age, she already processes substantial leadership experience. During the last 10 years, she has managed to publish widely, among this 20 books and monographs, 86 journal articles and book chapters published or under review with further papers coming up. Her work is furthermore well received – her first book on creativity “Kreativitet skal læres” made Lene “Author of the year in 2009” awarded by Aalborg University Press, and the book is reprinted twice. Her two next books on creativity in school (Fornyelsens kunst – at skabe kreativitet i skolen, 2010) and within life and business “I bad med Picasso – sådan bliver du mere kreativ” written in collaboration with business owner Christian Stadil (and re-printed tvice) has been reviewed by all major Danish news-papers (Politiken, Jyllandsposten, Weekendavisen etc.) and in scientific journals and has resulted in a number of key-note speeches.
